He built an aquatic centre, swim teaching program, and swim school business literally from the ground up. From a standing start, his swim school now teaches over 1,500 students per week and employs over 20 instructors. He was recognised in 2022 with SWIM Australia’s Swim School of the Year award and in 2023 with Business NSW's Best Small Business in Sydney award. His custom-built swim centre has also received accolades as the most energy-efficient in Australia, and one of most environmentally friendly in the world.

He received many accolades as part of the network and was elected to the role of NSW State Manager when he returned to Australia. Dan undertook several Program, Project and Change Manager roles on major global programs.
