Working with youths in prison has taught me to look beyond limitations, whether they be physical or mental. After teaching and managing in schools for the last ten years I’ve returned to the classroom myself, to undertake an MBA to update my knowledge of business, before taking lessons from working in one of the hardest environments to motivate people into the corporate world.What I’ve enjoyed most over my career is having assisted colleagues to develop beyond their comfort zone by helping them remove perceived limitations of their ability to grow, learn and contribute. Seeing these people have deeper connection to their work and knowing they feel supported to extend themselves beyond their core responsibilities is what’s given me a sense of achievement in my own work. I love to keep up to date with new technology that’s shaping the future of work, this helps me think about workplace systems and ways to keep those systems congruent.I’m looking to take on projects that can create lasting impact within an organisation, particularly if it involves getting into the details of how people will experience upcoming change and planning for the best outcomes.#Teaching #Leadership #People development #Workplace culture #Organisational change #Tech
