Responsibilities:- Managing a team of up to 15 personnel, rectifying, and maintaining the avionics and electrical aspects of the C-17 aircraft through the management of human and aircraft resources, prioritising tasks to ensure essential sorties are met.- Identifying and using all training opportunities to progress the authorisation of all shift personnel.- Carry out Independent Inspections on flight critical systems following any maintenance activities to ensure the Airworthiness of the aircraft.- Liaising with the Rects Controller, providing accurate forecasts for task completion, updates on task progress and deficiencies in resources and deputising in their absence.- Managing the welfare and discipline of all personnel providing guidance, support and signposting them to the correct organisations.- Ensure Health & safety, COSSH and F&L guidelines are followed during engineering activities and to ensure personnel are aware of the actions required of them.- Uphold and maintain equality and diversity responsibilities.
