Nonprofits and small businesses often do not have the expertise to leverage data and systems to help advance their mission. I listen to these organizations to hear what they do, why they do it, and what they want to do better. Using this information, I work directly with key personnel to redesign processes, build technology, and change culture so that the organization can leverage the best tools out there to help them do more.

Working as a member of the senior leadership team to build a system-empowered culture at the organization. Developing and managing systems geared towards streamlining the work and operations of 175+ employees at the Aish World Center who collectively teach hundreds of classes annually, run a large yeshiva, manage private events, and engage with over 150,000 visitors annually at our prime location overlooking the Western Wall in the Old City of Jerusalem.Projects have included:- Managed a migration to Salesforce of our fundraising department- Built and manage a data team of 5 employees- Built custom tools to help track fundraising portfolios, calling lists, crowdfunding campaigns, and more- Worked with vendors to build integrations that would advance our fundraising operation- Manage the systems for our annual crowdfunding campaigns bringing in $2 million+ annually- Engage with funders interested in the integration of data analytics into our organization- Upgraded the IT infrastructure at our Jerusalem headquarters, including hiring an IT Manager- Built an online learning platform at the start of the Corona Epidemic to transition our in-person learning opportunities to virtual. Engaged teachers around the world, producing over 400 online classes with teachers around the world

Once most of the tools were built, my role shifted towards more of a management position in which I oversaw greater integration of how the data was used for strategic decision making. In that capacity, I was involved in:- Managed the organization's proprietary system built to track all participation and logistics of over 8,000 events annually- Managed a staff of two FTE's and summer internship program- Implementing strategic and ad-hoc SSRS reporting solutions at all organizational levels- Implemented Microsoft Power BI solutions- Managed the annual internal goal setting process and its associated reporting and status updates- Provided internal data analysis to management- Oversaw all long-term program evaluation projects- Oversaw all IT operations for the organization- Led camp management software transition team (from Active Networks to Campminder)- Organizational representative to external organizations at conferences and strategic meetings- Built relationships that secured over $500,000 in direct support to build new programs- Served as a strategic writer for proposal development across the organization- Served as co-lead on implementation of organization-wide Leadership Development evaluation and projects in conjunction with Leading Edge

Planned and created the database for NCSY, the international youth movement of the Orthodox Union. I worked closely with the staff of 200 professionals to create a system that tracks all activities that we run throughout the world, creating a central location for all statistical and logistical information.Initially when hired, I was the sole employee working on this endeavor. The original version was built using PHP5 and MySQL solutions -- I built the database and front-end, provided support to staff and clients, and developed basic business intelligence solutions. After several years of growth, I worked with another internal team to create an upgraded version of the system and led the staff's transition to the new custom solution. At that point, I worked towards building up the reporting tools using Microsoft Visual Studio's Business Intelligence Development Studio (BIDS) deployed to a SQL Reporting Server.

Created and developed Jewish cultural clubs in eleven public and private high schools, serving as an advisor to the clubs’ leaders. Built institutional affiliations throughout the community, while also expanding the program’s Speakers Bureau. Coordinated planning and recruitment for all organization-wide events. Also helped manage the expansion of the region, as well as assist with fundraising. Served as the regional representative to many national, regional, and local organizations.

Created the web site of Prozdor, Hebrew College’s supplementary school for high school students, as an administrative and public relations tool. Developed an online course management and registration system that streamlined information flow between faculty, students, and administration as the school expanded from 300 students to over 950 by the end of tenure. Acted as the school’s photographer, which included national and international travel.

Conducted research on existing online resources for Israel advocacy on college campuses. Created a proposal for an online resource portal to unify Israel advocates on campuses nationwide. Represented the organization at national conferences of Israel cultural and political organizations.

The Maccabi Games in 2004 brought over 2500 coaches and athletes to Boston from around the world for a week to compete in a Jewish Olympic-style athletic event. I started working for the organization one month before the games when another full-time staff member resigned. I was expected to pick up where she left off, which included responsibility for managing information in the database. I helped coordinate volunteer and housing assignments to thousands of people, while working 70+ hours a week.
