At Brookstone I work in Vendor Operations, meaning I communicate with our Vendors about technical issues they have with any of our platforms, along with dealing with the day to day of an ecommerce department. Lots of work in Microsoft Excel and SQL Server. Have had miscellaneous scripting opportunities around as well, along with some minor Photoshop editing that had to be done in the merchandising process sometimes.

At Atriks I learned the ins and outs of a pretty customized Coldfusion website that had gone through a few developers in its lifetime. Most of the applications I developed for Atriks were connected to this intranet site in some way. I programmed several applications, including C# and Java applications that were deployed to a server farm in house, and pages for the aforementioned Coldfusion site. I made one major release that was deployed to thousands of home users. I also worked with very large SQL Server databases on a daily basis, either creating large tables, or designing stored procedures to automate processes we needed done regularly.

At SCG I learned both Java and Android development. I worked until the end on a tablet application that used a proprietary formula to calculate the best possible sales margins for a particular product. I designed the front and back end of the application myself, aside from the logo. The application was linked to a SQLite database that would be kept on the tablet itself, through which product data would be fed.
