About Dan Himmelstein

I have spent the last several years gaining Fraud Prevention experience combating a wide range of fraud schemes and fraud types including Identity Theft, Credit Card Fraud, Synthetic Identities, Bust Out, Rebate Fraud, Payroll Fraud, Stolen Credentials/Account Takeover, Money Laundering, etc. Most of my experience has been in the FinTech industry at some of Colorado’s top start-ups. In addition to operations and investigations, I have also led several cross-departmental projects which have had an impact on many key stakeholders throughout the company. I am currently focused on expanding my Fraud Prevention knowledge skills and abilities to the more technical side of Fraud Prevention and becoming proficient in modern Cybersecurity and Information Security techniques. I have a growing interest in Incident Response and Dead Box Forensics and have been taking on side projects to develop the skills necessary for a career in Cybersecurity.
