I am an investigative reporter at Injustice Watch in Chicago. Prior to taking that job in 2023, I covered criminal justice for the Illinois Answers Project. Before that, I was a freelance reporter and I covered Kyle Rittenhouse's trial in Kenosha, Wis. for The New York Times. I also spent more than a decade as a reporter for The Chicago Tribune, mostly doing investigative work on police, prosecutors and the courts.
