Al Asad, Iraq

Directed passenger and cargo logistics at the Al Asad Arrival/Departure Airfield Control Group supporting supply chain operations throughout Al Anbar Province, Iraq. • Synchronized aerial port operations between six rotary-wing squadrons, five fixed-wing squadrons, three commercial cargo carriers, and the Kellogg, Brown and Root Company to facilitate the safe loading, unloading, and throughput of over 4,900 aircraft, 82,000 passengers, and 25,700 short tons of cargo from the Al Asad Airfield. • Completed a seven-day Lean Six Sigma project that increased passenger and cargo throughput efficiency by over 20% and drastically improved customer responsiveness, data collection accuracy, and flightline safety.• Planned and supervised over 45 helicopter sling load deliveries and aerial delivery missions in direct support of combat operations. Integrated the MV-22 Osprey aircraft into the logistics distribution network which was the first time it had been done in direct support of combat operations.• Trained, scheduled, supervised, and evaluated over 80 multifunctional employees in a challenging and austere combat environment. • Managed and accounted for over $2.6 million worth of aerial logistics equipment.

Supervised survey development, administration, and analysis of all Marine Corps-wide personnel surveys to support executive level-decision making and inform enterprise-wide program development and improvement.• Organized and led a Marine Corps-wide survey working group to formally establish the Marine Corps survey program. Authored and implemented the Marine Corps’s survey program policy providing a refined process to control the development and distribution of over 30 annual personnel surveys. • Conducted thorough statistical analysis of the Department of Defense Comprehensive Review Working Group's “Don't Ask, Don't Tell” survey data for 32,800 Marine respondents. Communicated the results directly to the Commandant of the Marine Corps enabling him to make informed decisions that facilitated the policy’s successful repeal. • Served as the lead Project Manager for the Marine Corps-wide Diversity Taskforce. Supervised over 80 senior officers and contractors divided amongst four working groups across the Marine Corps’s bases and stations. The Taskforce surveyed over 32,000 personnel and conducted focus groups with 230 participants enabling executive leadership to appropriately shape the Marine Corps Diversity Policy.• Designed, administered, conducted statistical analysis on, and reported the results of the annual enlisted and officer retention surveys to executive leadership. Pioneered communication and survey dissemination methods that doubled prior response rates. • Designed and administered the Women in Combat Units Survey to over 200,000 personnel. • Provided guidance and direction to study investigators that significantly improved research quality and validity throughout the organization. • Conducted an analysis of alternatives of casualty estimation simulation tools used to develop operational plans for personnel replacements in combat operations. Planned, coordinated, and managed supply chain, logistics, maintenance, and engineering operations that provided critical resource support to five infantry organizations conducting training and real-world combat operations. • Conducted operational-level planning, coordination, and supervision of over 300 combat logistics convoys in direct support of over 15,000 personnel and more than 40 bases and outposts throughout the southern Helmand Province in Afghanistan, a 60% increase in production over the previous unit in the same time period.• Utilized logistics planning and operations skills to plan, coordinate, and supervise the redeployment of over 3,300 pieces of equipment valued at $34 million which directly contributed to the organization receiving the National Defense Transportation Association’s 2013 Unit of the Year award. • Utilized robust project management and leadership skills to supervise the training and professional development of over 700 personnel in preparation for combat logistics operations in Afghanistan. • Supervised the integration of the K-MAX unmanned cargo aircraft into the logistics distribution network.
