Business is philosophy in action, culture eats strategy for breakfast, and learning is leverage.I’ve always gravitated towards businesses that believe in philosophy, culture and continuous learning. After selling my company, M5 Networks to ShoreTel in 2012, I was excited about the opportunity to learn what would be next. I spent a sabbatical in Barcelona learning about learning and through that journey discovered that one of the most impactful ways to learn comes from learning from my peers.Today, I am the Founder & CEO of Circl.es where our mission is to spread the power of ‘circles, not rows’ to make circles accessible to communities everywhere. At Circl.es we deliver a virtual space for small groups to engage meaningfully and at scale to foster authentic human connections. Our software and services come together to create a unique setting designed to enhance interactions, energy and impact - for events or on-going sessions.I commit to always continuing to learn from anyone who is willing to teach me something new, and maybe I’ll teach others a few things along the way. I’m grateful for the organizations that help me bring my commitment to practice; I’m an Aspen Institute Henry Crown Fellow, a board chairman for Workshop in Business Opportunities (WIBO) and my Circl.es teammates teach me something new every day.And hopefully by the time you’re reading this, my oldest daughter has already taught me how to do a backflip.
