As an Associate Chief Clinical Assistant and Medical Scribe at Generation Next Fertility, I helped guide patients through their fertility treatment, assisted physicians in reviewing patients’ charts and scribed during consults and monitoring visits. Additionally, I helped train incoming clinical assistants, provided patient updates, helped prepare culture media, and assisted senior embryologists with embryo grading. I also worked on a data project reporting clinical outcomes to the Society for Assisted Reproductive Technologies. Separately, I trained to run the Roche COBAS analyzer to process samples for patients who come to the clinic for monitoring appointment.In addition to my responsibilities detailed above, I helped create and update administrative policies, clinical protocols and training materials. Additionally, I assisted with mediating staff conflicts, creating the daily staff schedule, and delegating tasks to other clinical assistants. As an Associate Chief, I also work directly with the Medical Director, Practice Director, and Practice Manager to ensure that our team provided the highest quality care to all patients. Furthermore, I organized and led IVF review committee meetings, and coordinated executive communications.

With guidance from Dr. Wolf, I conducted independent research in the Wolf Lab to investigate the mechanisms of how traumatic brain injury leads to persistent learning and memory dysfunction – two core consequences of TBI which may be related to the onset of prevalent disorders associated with TBI like PTE and PTSD. As part of my research, I utilized wireless technology to track circuitry changes and analyze neural signaling using a computational neural processing software.

I created and analyzed communication RFP’s, conducted budgeting and financial analysis with Head of Operations and Finance, and drafted press releases, newsletters and website write-ups. Additionally, I developed scientific illustrations and managed outreach and awareness campaigns for the Foundation. I also attended Scientific Team Meetings to discuss relevant research proposals and frequently communicate with grantees.

I conducted market research and outreach, analyzed field data, implemented a new product development and documentation system and helped create marketing materials.

I conducted research on cancer (Non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma) immunotherapy at the Brody Lab at Mount Sinai Hospital. This experience included splitting and culturing cells, running flow cytometry experiments, and analyzing and gating data for presentations.

I wrote monthly online columns and newsletters for New York Sports Connection.

Coached soccer and mentored children aged 7-16 years old at a summer sleepaway camp.
