David Beckham returns to the East London football pitches of his childhood, as he mentors an under 14 grassroots football team in the league where he began his career.

Fronted by award-winning science journalist Michael Mosley, the programme will reveal how scientists are unlocking the ways in which sleep impacts almost every system in the human body, from our memory and moods to the ways in which sleep can make us more or less resistant to weight gain, as well alter our risk of illnesses like diabetes and heart disease, or our ability to fight infection. The documentary will explore this latest research to find out how we can learn to sleep better and reap the rewards for our health. The findings will be informed by a pioneering sleep study, by Oxford University’s Sleep & Circadian Neuroscience Institute, to investigate how we sleep now and the link between sleep and physical and mental health.

Working within a team of two across the Factual and Documentary slate for BBC 2, BBC docs and ITV Factual. I negotiated sensitive access and did the foundation research on a number of complex current affairs projects.

Responsible for the edit start-up and running two edits simultaneously, I was instrumental in setting the tone and structure for this 9pm doc series about family conflict.

Working on the final episode in this long running doc series following the journey of a group of national treasures as they experience Indian culture for the first time. This edit required the ability to assess volumes of material with a sharp eye for detail and humour.

I was the senior editorial lead responsible for an edit team of 6 (including 3 EP’s/PD’s). I was required to thematically group and allocate stories to episodes across the series, establishing each narrative arc, as well as cutting Ep 1 and 2 simultaneously in separate suites. I set the tone and structure of this series looking into the private world of a high end art dealer and his aristocratic client list.

Cutting across two major series, I was responsible for taking over the three films with high volume footage. This included major restructuring, commissioner viewings and pre-titles to tight deadlines.

Quick turnaround edit, with reams of multi-camera ob doc footage. I produced an hour long episode of this multi-camera, multi-contributor series, choosing and balancing stories in a layered and complex edit.

Returning as a de-facto SP on Series 2 (no official SP was credited on the project) my unique role required working directly to the two execs on this multi award-winning series. I was the first port of call for all stories across the entire series and responsible for:• Ensuring every single story at shoot level had a solid narrative arc.• Ranking and judging all the material going in to the edit.• Giving and receiving daily editorial feedback to/from shooting teams to nail down the stories.• Establishing a strong chain of communication across the production including commissioner briefings.• Directing on location, often dealing with difficult contributors.

I edit produced the final Episode of this ob doc filmed in one of Swansea's largest Call Centre's, following the lives of a group of young sales agents and their eccentric millionaire CEO

I edit produced a one off special charting the highs and lows of a challenging year on the wards for eight Juniors taking their tentative first steps. This was a fast turnaround edit, that involved sifting through a hefty amount of footage from across the series to construct a new and engaging stand alone narrative.

A TX pilot following two young girls on a journey to change their destructive lifestyles. Self-contained, self-shooting on tapeless canon XF305 over 12 weeks. - Planning and directing scenes and tasks for entire episode - Responsible for visualising CGI graphics.

I worked on the formative beginnings of this highly successful series. Series One required intense Obs doc actuality self shooting on the diet swap week. I was also responsible for directing the first strands in the series and setting the series style. On Series three, I was a Senior Producer/Director and was tasked with giving the show a new look and produce a greater narrative emphasis on the journey of the contributors. I also made the first ever set of powerful American films telling the story of morbid obesity which has now been developed and incorporated into subsequent series'.

The first of this hugely popular series, following the tears and tantrums of nine couples running a restaurant and go into business with the charistmatic Raymond Blanc.
