I don't really do buzzword biographies. I do pick things up quickly. I prefer to work independently but I am fully capable of running teams or projects, and I get things accomplished no matter what. I have just started my own business: Reedy River Mermaid. I provide inclusive, creative, and professional edutainment content to ages 4-16, at their homes, or at community pools. I have created my own patent-pending games and activities, my own copyrighted mermaid characters, and will be at 7 different holiday markets across Upstate SC in the next month to promote my business and my artwork. Check in here as I grow my business! I am still interested in working with great people and fun companies. While I was with ACLS:I co-created and ran a successful 4-year run of a comic convention based in my library, and have written grants, proposals, policy, training manuals, and marketing materials. I managed 8 remote locations with 36 warm bodies, one (ancient) bookmobile, an internal and external courier service, deliveries and mail.I kickstarted changes to home base and initiated a program of outreach to senior living centers and preschools. Subsequently, I approved (and often helped brainstorm) programming at all 8 library branches as well as at all of the new outreach locations I established. Now: I am open to different industries and work experiences, but especially with other creatives. I love talking shop, be it libraries, writing, costume/makeup/wigs, or my newest discoveries in small business development!
