Gained my my first job experience working as a Lifeguard training and preparing for life saving techniques while focusing on implementing public health ideologies such as prevention strategies. Through that experience I was promoted to swim instructor teaching clients of all ages how to save themselves in case of a water hazard/emergency, advance a healthy lifestyle through water exercise, and how to increase their current levels of understanding in terms of learning a new skill. At 18 I then came to San Marcos Texas to further my education. In between my major course classes of Psychology, I worked as a server, and later headwaitress. Learning to delegate, manage, and supervise fellow employees while maintaining my own responsibilities was a token of real life knowledge learned in between classes. Wanting to further my knowledge of Psychology I was hired on to work as a Behavioral Assistant working directly with kids with Autism. Skill acquisition documentation and on site assessments enabled me to grow in my experience and supplement my Psychology degree. Looking back I wouldn't have gained the skills necessary to excel in the workforce without 4 years of Leadership training through the National Youth Leadership Conference. Looking to advance in my field and flourish in on going learning.
