As Operations Manager for The Village Goldsmith Limited my role was to ensure the smooth and successful production of quality, high end jewellery items produced in a timely manner and to the highest standards to not only meet but exceed client expectation.The primary focus of the role was to oversee all stages of the production process from the initial quote phase (post initial customer interaction) through to final production and quality assessment. This included:• Quoting - assessing and quoting for repairs, remodel and new design work.• Procurement - including diamonds, gemstones and precious metals.• Communication - liaising with both internal staff (including management, retail staff, CAD design team and jewellers) as well as developing and maintaining relationships with domestic and international suppliers.•Job Management - sourcing required parts, timely allocation to designers, CAD department and/or jewellers, as well as daily management of all jobs in production to ensure deadlines are met.•Quality Control - assessing each unique piece post production to ensure our exacting standards are met.
