IDC Research provides market intelligence, advisory services, and events for IT, telecom, and consumer technology markets.● Represented IDC in speaking engagements at industry events, corporate marketing videos, and private product and sales meetings for companies including HDS, Pure Storage, SolidFire, et al. ● Developed and modeled IDC’s first All Flash Array Market forecast.● Researched and authored several market reports on all flash arrays, cloud, and enterprise storage.● Led custom consulting efforts to provide unique market perspective for IDC clients including Intel.

Glasshouse was a global provider of datacenter consulting services acquired by Signature Technology Group in 2014. I had previously worked at Glasshouse a year earlier as a consultant and returned to lead the Storage Practice. ● Implemented leveraged model staffing plan to increase consultant bandwidth by 50%.● Developed and deployed seven-layer financial TCO model for chargeback of IT services for clients. ● Drove initiatives to rationalize and standardize deliverables to clients resulting in higher margins. ● Managed multiple concurrent project teams on diverse initiatives. ● Delivered presentations to VP and C-suite executives. Clients included Coca Cola, Ace Group, Citizens Banks, M&T Bank.

I was Bridgeview's first hire and recruited to develop the business strategy and establish processes for a new regional consulting firm. ● Recruited as company’s first hire to develop business strategy and establish processes. ● Managed a 15-member team and multiple vendors on a $750K project to implement POD architecture delivered on-time and under budget for TIAA-CREF across two datacenters● Developed, delivered, and presented Financial-IT (FIT) Check assessment product to the GE Capital’s CIO and Cigna’s VP of Infrastructure. ● Provided pre-sales support by delivering sales presentations, writing SOW’s, and level of effort modeling.● Managed and monitored multiple concurrent project engagements.● Facilitated full-day client workshops to gain current state consensus and design future state.

In my first role with GlassHouse I served as technical lead for three engineers on a large engagement for Morgan Stanley ($35M/yr storage client), led storage architecture workshops, and developed storage KPIs. Clients included Honeywell and Boston College.

At PIC I had a mix of leadership and technical responsibilities. Our accomplishments included design of a new data replication strategy that led to 66% reduction in duplicate data, re-architecture of a Commvault backup to save nearly $200K, and implementation of Six Sigma improvement plan to achieve consistent backup SLA achievement.

In this role I designed an innovative approach to SAN switch performance analysis “Six Sigma for SAN Performance” and presented the topic at the Storage Networking World conference. I also led SWAT teams of up to 10 members tasked with resolving critical customer issues onsite, and I developed tools to automate SAN performance collection and analysis that dramatically reduced assessment cycles.

I founded a led a professional organization which grew to 900+ members and organized HP’s first Virtual Storage Technical Conference which had 500+ engineers in attendance.
