Responsible for numerous research projects as following:• Investigation the Effect of Air-void on Fracture Energy and Peak Load in DCT Test, Minnesota department of transportation. • Exploration of performance-based specifications (PBSs) for airfield asphalt mixtures, Federal Aviation Administration.• Performance Evaluation of Pelletized Solid Polymer Modified Asphalt Mixtures, Laboratory Testing Services Cold Regions Research and Engineering Laboratory (CRREL).• Comprehensive Evaluation of Properties and Performance of Asphalt Mixtures with Reactive Isocyanate and SBS Modified Binders, Blankenship Asphalt Tech and Training (BATT). • Develop a Robust Modeling Approach for Optimization of Fracture Energy Using Principal Component Regression and Principal Component Neural Network. • Investigation of the Effect of Mix Design Variables on Thermal Cracking Performance Based on Machine Learning Approaches Using Fractionally Weighted Bootstrapping (FWB) and Auto Validation Methods. • Utilize machine learning algorithms to develop prediction models for asphalt mixture fatigue resistance based on viscoelastic continuum damage theory to capture the crack initiation phase.• Develop a cracking balance diagram based on fracture mechanics and viscoelastic continuum damage theories that can be adopted as a predesign tool.
• Investigation of fracture resistance of hot and warm mix asphalt with long-term and short-term aging conditions.• Conducting extensive research study proofing the flaws and deficiencies of the current globally accepted standard procedure of Strategic Highway Research Program (SHRP) for determining the fatigue behavior of asphalt binders and comparing with new methods.• Investigation and implementation of using Gilsonite and SBS as a substitution of petroleum asphalt binder to reduce the price of asphalt mixture production and improve its performance.• Investigation and application of Warm Mix additives (Sasobit and Rheofalt Sasol wax) to reduce the compaction temperature for ease of pavement construction in colder regions.• Investigation of the effects of carbon nano tubes (CNTs), loading frequency and test temperature on complex modulus and permanent defamation of modified asphalt binders.• Development of an artificial neural networks-based model to predict the rutting performance of modified asphalt binders.• Simulation a new type of roundabout (turbo-roundabout) to reduce the travel time and queue length in Mazandaran, Iran.
