I am Dania Puggioni, a seasoned professional in health communication with a background in Medical Biotechnology and Molecular Biology. After pursuing a doctorate at the Scuola Normale Superiore of Pisa, I transitioned into the world of children's book illustration and a diverse career in communication.Over the years, I have had the privilege of working with both public and private organizations, including major publishers like Giunti, Zanichelli, and Pacini Editore, as well as educational institutions and pharmaceutical companies. I also contributed to TED-Ed’s lesson "What is leukemia?", where I helped simplify complex medical concepts for a wider audience. These experiences have honed my ability to translate intricate scientific content into accessible and engaging formats.I believe in the power of collaborative work and storytelling to make knowledge both engaging and memorable. With a creative mindset and a scientific foundation, I leverage graphic design, illustration, infographics, video scribing, and other visual techniques to foster clear and compelling communication in science and medicine.As the founder of GraphicDNA, a creative studio dedicated to enhancing communication in health and life sciences, I lead innovative projects that engage, inform, and inspire. In addition, I am the promoter of Scribing for Health: in this recent project, I combine medical communication with graphic facilitation and scribing, aiming to make complex scientific knowledge more accessible and impactful.
