Work alongside the Executive Director on strategy development, organizational management, operations, and partnership building. Oversee cross-functional strategic initiatives on organizational development, strategic planning, and large-scale pilot development, including managing external partners and consultants. Manage collaborative organizational development activities such as goal setting, mission/vision/values development, effective cross-departmental integration, and visioning. Deploy general Swiss-army knife, fire-extinguisher, peacekeeper skills as needed.

Worked with a variety of smaller NGOs with big ideas-- focused on diverse issues such as women's rights, community-centered design, and climate change-- to design & launch or improve program strategy and operations, partnership development, and communications.

Managed a network of 25 women leaders whose community based organizations served the women and children in their cities, towns, and villages. Oversaw a four-country train-the-trainer pilot program with responsibility for meeting program goals, deadlines, and budgets. Designed strategies for advancing collaboration among network participants, scaling the delivery of training, and building capacity and knowledge transfer.

Co-led decision-making responsibilities for and execution of the department’s vision, processes, policies, and activities; participated in defining and executing the organization’s yearly focus areas, member offerings, and strategic direction. Managed a small team, including hiring, day-to-day oversight, retention, performance evaluation, and general support and cheerleading toward being the best they could be.

Engaged and advised leaders from the private sector, philanthropy, social enterprise, and the non-profit sector in joining forces to address social and environmental challenges. Generated opportunities for collaborative efforts to advance social outcomes; successful engagements resulted in projects such as gender parity in the tech sector, LGBTQ+ inclusion in global business operations, and funding for anti-modern day slavery efforts, among others. Designed and conducted numerous roundtables, workshops, expert panel discussions, and other engagement events each year to foster learning, partnership, and collective action. Generated leads, conducted outreach, and developed long-term relationships in order to continuously build and grow the network with dedicated, aligned participants.

Advised the leadership of Fortune 500 companies in the technology, apparel, pharma, extractives, and food & beverage industries on environmental, social, and governance topics and strategy development/implementation. Conducted materiality assessments, built strategies for CSR programs, and generated corporate responsibility reporting against goals. Wrote corporate policies on human rights, HIV/AIDS, and sourcing from the informal sector. Developed and facilitated stakeholder engagement processes for clients with both internal employee groups and external peers and partners. Created and led corporate social responsibility training programs for business executives.

Worked with a small team to generate and manage all incoming contributions to the Northern California campaign office through the planning and execution of frequent campaign fundraising events with the goal of engaging the public in supporting Senator Boxer's (successful) campaign for re-election.
