Radio active fission product and graphite dust aerosol transport modelling through the main power system of a high temperature gas (helium) cooled nuclear reactor.The released fission products (FP) into the coolant gas stream of the reactor are transported throughout the power conversion and support systems. As person responsible for setting up these models in the department, it entails the following: 1. Acquisition of data from - and set-up of interfaces with engineers for the relevant data for the FP transport calculations. 2. Set up the models and test the runs. 3. Software installation (as Software Responsible Person), development, testing and debugging (support) of SPECTRA (commercial-of-the-shelf) and RADAX FORTRAN plate-out code (legacy code). 4. Have a thorough understanding of the physical aspects pertaining to the transport modelling. Accommodate any necessary model changes to provide for the short comings of the code. 5. Write up the model reports and model input files. 6. Use various software techniques to do pre- and post processing of the text input and output files.
