About Jacob Daniel

I am currently a Senior at Purdue University in the combined Bachelor's and Master's degree for aerospace engineering specializing in autonomy and control. I am punctual, hard-working, have a willingness to learn, and am excited to work with others towards a common goal. I have leadership experience and project management skills from my work as project engineer of the Purdue Space Program Student Launch (PSP-SL) team. PSP-SL competes in the NASA Student Launch competition to build a launch vehicle from scratch each year and reach an apogee from 4000-6000 feet with an onboard payload. As project engineer, I am responsible for managing the technical side of the team which includes performing design reviews, enforcing engineering and documentation standards, and ensuring that all subsystems can be integrated together without any issues. I enjoy tackling difficult problems and find engineering to be a great field to solve some of the world's hardest problems.

    Purdue Space Program Student Launch (PSP SL) is a student technical team that competes in the NASA Student Launch competition to build a launch vehicle with an onboard payload. The goal is to safely launch and land the launch vehicle and have the payload complete its objective. I am responsible for managing and directing the technical side of the team. I coordinate with the construction, avionics, payload, and research and development subteams to ensure that all subsystem interactions are working as intended. I also ensure that all designs are meeting NASA's requirements. Finally, I give my input on all of the subteam's designs and provide help if needed
