In my current role within the Marin County government, I connect job seekers with resources, including childcare and English language services, to help them overcome barriers to employment and create connections with local businesses. I interact with individuals, serving as a counselor in critical areas such as job training, interviewing, and continuing education for workforce readiness. In addition, some of the significant accomplishments of my career include the following achievements:• Partnering with CalFresh to address clients’ needs and subsequently assuming a leadership role in creating, analyzing, and introducing processes and procedures.• Assuming increasing levels of accountability via participation on committees for special projects, including the CalFresh Employment & Training Jumpstart program to connect people with services, training, and continuing education. • Receiving recognition for outstanding leadership, culture-building, and people management skills via leading a team of 5 during work with Bay Area Community Services – MYC Youth Center.
