As a Town & Country Planner working within the Anglian Water @One Alliance my key responsibility is to provide practical planning expertise and guidance to enable successful and efficient delivery of schemes across the business. Town & Country Planners will assist with providing strategic direction across large programmes of work, advising on relevant consenting processes and strategies.I am involved in the management and development of cities, towns, villages and the countryside. Which involves balancing the conflicting demands of housing, industrial development, agriculture, recreation, transport and the environment, in order to allow appropriate development to take place.

My role at MJCA is to provide technical input to the Environmental Planning Department in respect of planning policy, legislation, EIA, environmental audits and environmental permitting. This involves:• Collation of information required to support planning applications and applications for waste management licences and PPC permit applications• Provide informed contribution to the work of the department• Preparation of letters, reports or other written work as required by the Company• To undertake responsibility for project performance and control. • Timely preparation of invoices to clients• Liaising with clients and regulatory authorities during projects

I subcontracted to this company as an ecologist and field surveyor. In this role I, with a team, conducted and organised bat activity and emergence surveys, Great Crested Newt surveys and reptile surveys for a broad range of clients on different projects. I have also worked on preliminary bat and barn owl surveys.

As a field worker my roles have been to conduct Great Crested Newt and bat activity surveys.

This was a self-employed position where I subcontracted as an ecologist and field surveyor. For this consultancy I carried out numerous protected species surveys with a team of ecologists for a range of different clients on some major projects.
