Building Trades Coordinator
CurrentAs the current Building Trades Team Coordinator for Mornington Shire Council, I have been instrumental in establishing and developing a high-performing team. Having joined the organisation during a period of significant transition including the introduction of my internal team, I played a pivotal role in:Identifying and defining the scope of works: Accurately assessed the maintenance needs of the organisation and determined the necessary skill sets and resources. Designing efficient processes: Developed streamlined workflows to ensure optimal daily operations and productivity. Building a skilled team: Recruited and assembled a team of highly qualified tradespeople, equipping them with the necessary tools and vehicles to deliver exceptional quality work at a reduced cost. Developing comprehensive operational documentation: Created detailed job safety analyses (JSAs), standard operating procedures (SOPs), and other essential documentation. Procurement: Supplier Discovery and Outreach: Proactively identified and engaged with local businesses that aligned with the organisation's procurement needs. Exceeding expectations: Consistently surpassed initial performance benchmarks, delivering 66% more completed jobs and increasing monthly while expanding the scope of works to target higher-value projects that benefit the community. Analysing data: Utilised data analysis to identify opportunities for improved expenditure management at public assets without compromising community satisfaction. My experience in leading and managing building trades teams, combined with my ability to drive efficiency, deliver exceptional results, and analyse data effectively.
