Provide career advisement and assist with job search for graduating and alumni students in their field of study.Present employment opportunities to students in multiple ways, gathered by Career Service staff, through electronic job board, Optimal Resume, posted by walk-in employers, and existing online job sites. Developed and delivered job readiness course.Research industry trends for all existing programs, continually research and develop new job opportunities for all programs, network with current employers and develop new employer contacts, develop externship opportunities, nurture industry and community relationships, present featured employers, organize job fairs.Assist with the development of five year institutional strategic plan, information technology three year strategic plan and current building plan. Represent institution at District Career Counsel, served as campus Diversity Coordinator and represented institution at District Diversity Counsel. Work in conjunction with Arizona Department of Juvenile Corrections to provide vocational rehabilitation guidance and counseling for youth being released from Adobe Mountain School. Coordinate educational plan, vocational training and job placement to help reduce their involvement with the juvenile justice system. Plan, coordinate, and pay for contacted services. Maintain documentation and manage budget for each case. Monitor case plans to assure success by maintaining contact with outpatient treatment team.Supervision of Rehabilitation Services Administration’s Behavioral Health office, direct supervision and training of eight vocational rehabilitation counselors assigned to eight Value Option sites, and four office support staff. Responsible for the allocation and management of office finances which includes distribution of funds to individual counselor caseloads and office operations. Conduct initial interviews, determine eligibility and develop individual written rehabilitation plans for seriously mentally ill population. Plan and coordinate the array of services needed for the success of the rehabilitation plan. Part of the outpatient clinical treatment team. Maintain up to date case files. Responsible for planning and budgeting funds needed for services provided. Monthly reporting on progress of each case.
