Civil Engineering Apprentice
CurrentCivil Engineering Degree Apprentice within Mott MacDonald Bentley working mainly within the Northumbrian Water Framework Partnership. Work has focused within Wastewater treatment. 2019-2023: Work within this period has involved working as civil project support within a range of wastewater treatment projects of varying scope and complexity. This has included completing a range of calculations with assistance to develop further engineering understanding, alongside working with senior engineers to outline scopes for projects as well as their delivery. I have aided the completion of other key documents such as health and safety workbooks within this period also. Assisted within the project closeout of a large project, focusing in on document management, coordinating with the client to ensure key deliverables are all provided within the final handover. 2023-Present: During this period I have looked to develop into the role of civil designer on 2no. Civil based engineering projects. Within this period I have lead the design of the works, including conducting various hydraulic and structural designs to aid design. I have looked to work with subcontractors to develop 3rd party designs in coordination with project requirements. I have also worked within the development on "Build from model" project delivery within projects, assisting site engineers and the Digital Delivery Team with assistance in their queries. This period has also seen a secondment into non-water projects within a Junior Project Leader role.
