Network Engineer
Current* Proactively serve as the NOC & Systems operation team lead in an environment of over 200 managed service clients.*Actively works Severity 1 Critical incident and problem related outages in a 24/7 environment. Provides after hours assistance to the service desk by responding to all other system and user generated tickets. Ensures ALL tickets are worked until resolution. *Provides communications management within my team by the systematic planning, monitoring, and revision of all communication internally and to the client. *Communicates with upper level management on a daily basis to ensure all teams are up to date on any outages or major problem/incidents that are occurring.* Maintains communication with ISP for circuit testing on WAN/LAN associated equipment.* Maintains communication with our clients on all network and system related outages until resolution. Answers any technical questions the clients may have.* Utilizes network monitoring tools to remain pro active on the outages.* Ensures clients connectivity communication devices such as routers, switches, printer services, and remote VPN services.* Experience and basic troubleshooting with firewalls, routers, and switches which includes small business needs enterprise level devices from vendors such as Cisco, Sonic Wall, Avaya, and WatchGuard.* Ensure clients connectivity to essential services such as Citrix, and works with vendors until resolution.* Basic understanding of TCP/IP troubleshooting knowledge* Basic understanding of VOIP systems and provide first step troubleshooting for CISCO phone related issues and basic understanding and usage of Meraki, and CUCM. Works with senior UC engineers on a daily basis as well as self taught to further my knowledge and require less escalation and more resolution at my level of work.
