With nearly 10 years' experience in rewilding-related communications - complemented by a background in conservation journalism - I work to promote and scale up the restoration of nature and nature recovery through high-impact storytelling and publications. I have worked for Rewilding Europe, a non-profit organisation working at the forefront of European rewilding, since 2016. From the Ukrainian Danube Delta in the east to the Greater Côa Valley in Portugal in the west, we are currently rewilding ten large landscapes across Europe, with the aim of expanding this to 15 by 2030. Our goal is to see rewilding practised at scale right across the continent, with the application of rewilding principles, models and tools delivering measurable, demonstrable and sustained benefits for nature and people. By inspiring, supporting and collaborating with a broad coalition of partners – from other rewilding initiatives and NGOs to philanthropic organisations and big business – we want to create a Europe that is far richer in nature and more resilient to climate change, and where healthy wildlife populations support thriving nature-based economies.From the Antarctic to the Arctic and the Brazilian Pantanal to Japan, I have lived in / travelled to 120+ countries across the world, supplying articles to 100+ publications on rewilding and conservation, business, travel, medicine, technology, architecture, and an array of other subjects. Such publications include National Geographic, the Sunday Times, the Guardian, CNN, BBC Wildlife, the South China Morning Post, Geographical, Esquire, and the Discovery Channel magazine. I have also written publications for the Global Rewilding Alliance, the World Fish Migration Foundation, and leading UK rewilding consultancy Ecosulis.
