The role involves attending vehicles after breakdown or accident and is primarily carried out within a 100km radius working area although recoveries further afield may be required to any UK destination.Driving state of the art specialist rescue and recovery vehicles up to 12t.Attending breakdowns in all weathers and working in difficult conditions to recover or rescue our customers. Conducting dynamic risk assessments to ensure safety of the customers and their vehicles, myself and the company recovery vehicle. While loading and unloading vehicle types such as, car, van & motorcycles. IVR trained in levels 1,2,3, 5 & 6 currently.

As part of the Learning and Development team, I am entrusted to organise and manage the Physical Safety and First aid training for the second largest police force in the country. With the responsibility to manage officers who are required to meet the yearly training standards and managing their expiry dates. I am tasked to develop and deliver a 6 month plan, organising the work load for 25 trainers across 6 training sites. Offering hundreds of training spaces to officers, ensuring maximum numbers are enrolled to and training successfully delivered

On August 2020, I joined West Midlands Police as a serving Special Constable volunteering my services on the front line of West Midlands Dudley area. After successfully completing training in December 2020 I was sworn in to active full duties and begun my role as a fully qualified Special Constable. Responsibilities in this role are:Ensuring public safetyAssisting at the scenes of accidents, fires or incidents – helping control situations, ensuring people are safe.Preventing crime, carrying out high visibility foot patrols To deter and detect criminals. Tackling crime confronting anti social behaviour such as gangs or intimidating behaviour.Managing alcohol related incidents such as public drunkenness or violence.Enforcing Road safety laws in local communities. Investigating crime, Conducting house to house enquiries to gather information And support larger enquires. Taking part in police operations to disrupt and arrest offenders.Securing convictions, collecting and presenting evidence in court to support the justice system In prosecuting offenders.

My role was to handle requests for Annual Leave approval/rota changes while responding to urgent court requests and ensuring full coverage and staffing levels across the west midlands area were met.
