As operations manager at the Courtyard Waukegan I ensured the values and expectations that our Marriott brand embodies were consistently expressed to our guests and associates. I, with the support of my wonderful team, helped give our guests a unique experience that allowed them to eat great food while in a fun and inviting environment. As the operations manager, I led my staff in routine bistro training which helped inexperienced associates learn how to cook a variety of food and prepare one-of-a-kind spirits. I was also tasked to maintain a detailed inventory and balance a defined budget that allowed our bistro to be successful both service-wise and financially.

As the Entertainment Manager at the resort, I helped run the 300 game arcade and the kids’ care area in the resort. I would run a full staff that went out of their way to assist all guests. My job tasks consisted of training, ordering, maintaining a balanced budget and inventory, plan and execute entertaining events for the guests in house. I assisted with hotel on boarding training for the entire hotel. As Night Manager of the 415 room hotel, I was tasked with overseeing all areas of the hotel. I assisted in helping 4 different restaurants, large aquatic center, spa, entertainment area, and 5 in-house stores. I created safety plans for the resort to use in case of fire, tornado, or any situation that would cause guest unpleasantness. I met with the directors every week to discuss all matters of the hotel and I was entrusted with the responsibility to act as acting manager of all areas of the resort.

As an employee at TGI Fridays I worked with an ever-changing menu that allowed me to give the best service possible. My responsibilities included serving tables, training new staff, bartending, and I was also chosen by my peers to be a secret shopper at other Friday's locations.
