Rayloc Auto Parts, Morganfield KY USA: Jun 2006 – Aug 2006 Lead project engineer for the Lean transformation of the product line for this auto parts manufacturer. • Researching and developing the cleaning solution to integrate continuous flow of product. • Working with employees from the floor up to Plant Manager, and with outside vendors, to determine equipment capabilities to meet production needs and specifications for quality and quantity. • Completing Lean value-stream mapping, process layouts, time studies, work-cell design and return-on-investment analysis. Project yielded $500,000+ in annual savings, 60% reduced labour, 90+% reduction in throughput time, and 75% reduction in floor space.

Working in the Body Weld Engineering department, I delivered projects and production support. • Projects included problem solving of issues impacting quality, safety, production, ergonomics and equipment, and implementing corrective countermeasures. • Creating designs for product parts and equipment to improve vehicle quality and process workability. • Managing projects, coordinating all aspects of equipment installation, with delivery required within strict timeframes. Coordinating other departments in the plant and external vendors to deliver on time. Installation of equipment yielded 90% reduction in defects.
