They are basically restaurant chains, supermarkets, whosalers, meat producers who has their own distribution and food service and are also our suppliers in the export side as we also export from South America countries, North America, Europe, Oceania and etc to Russia, Middle East, Chile, Asia in general and others depending in the interest of them. Besides of Corex International the owners run a business in Holland / Netherlands which is to import meat products, distribute and storage in their own wharehouse called Frigomundo. The business started 38 years ago (family owned business) with turnover of Euro 365 million in 2011, with120 employees and 35000 MT of storage capacity.Today they are importing meat from Argentina, Brazil, Uruguay, Chile, Thailand, Australia, New Zealand, Botswana, Namibia, Ireland, Scotland and United States and distributing to all European Countries. Their customers in Europe are Supermarkets, Whosalers, Cash & Carries, Industries, Ready Meal Producers and Restaurant Chains.It is important to brief that we have food safety in all sourcing plataforms;

    I have managed all food imports of JBS group in this period, the group imports french fries, beef, lamb, fish, sea food, olive oil, chicken products, vegetables and other foodstuff to distribute in their own distrbution plataform (14 distribution centers in 11 states). The management includes contracts confirmations, choosing brands, travelling to meet the suppliers, end buyers and all distribution centers, getting involved in basically all steps of the business till the incomes (controlling stocks, sales price, tax payments and etc). All of this was done with the whole team.

    I have joined Global Beef team after working in Bertin in the export department, here is where I have learned a lot from Jerry O`Callaghan (Investors Relationship Director of JBS actually) and all the team which was part of the start of Global Beef in half of 2007. I have started helping the other traders and after less than 01 year was already trading meat to a lot of different countries, travelling a lot to visit the packers in South America, also visiting the costumers in Middle East, South America and others countries, also participating of the food shows in Europe and Middle East. Working in a trading company is where you see how difficult it is to meet all expectations of the owners which is net profit and it is not easy to control the pipeline, risks, coutries exigencies, culture, rules and etc. Here it was the most important step of my life;

    Bertin for me it was a school, where I learned most of everything I know today. When I got hired by Marco Bicchieri, I spent 03 months working a few days in each department, learning everything they were doing, from the slaughter to the sale of all products. I learned all steps, starting in the cattle purchase, federal inspection, tracebility, slaughter, freezing tunels, carcass maturation, deboning room, cuts, food safety, quality, export, documents, culture, different religions and etc. I always say that no farmer can imagine the magnitude of this business, I say this because I do belong to this chain, where my parents and family are all farmers, if I ask them all the cuts that it is possible to produce, sincerely it is hard for them to know half, imagine the by-products, offals, pet food, all import countries, worldwide customers and their cultures, also their religion, seasonality, risks, difficulties and etc.
