About Daniel Andres Diaz Thomas

I was born in Bogota, Colombia, in 1993. I received my Ph.D. in Electronics from the University of Montpellier in 2020, where I also earned a Master's degree in Physics and Engineering of Materials for Microelectronics and Nanotechnologies.My Ph.D. research focused on Interband Cascade Lasers (ICLs), establishing the University of Montpellier as the first in France to master the design of ICLs from epitaxy to application. Currently, my research interests include Sb-based technologies for Mid-IR and their integration into Si photonics, aiming to advance photonics through innovative solutions for future technologies.
