The CVM White Coat Ambassadors contribute to veterinary student recruitment events, interviews, orientation, the white coat ceremony, graduation and alumni events, as well as other events to promote and support the Texas A&M DVM program and the college. The White Coat group also exhibits universal acceptance in the recruitment of new members of the veterinary profession, supports current students with a positive and resilient culture, and engages with alumni in pursuit of continuous excellence

As the CVM Class of 2021 President, I am responsible for the progress and wellness of my fellow veterinary colleagues. I lead bi-monthly meetings with a cabinet of 21 members, represent student interests to faculty members, and strongly advocate for daily wellness and motivation by maintaining and building new relationships with all members of the college.

As a member of the Veterinary Business Management Association (VBMA), I am interested in advancing veterinary business knowledge. This program has exposed me to personal and professional skills in networking, finance, business operations, personal management, communication, knowledge of student loans, and leadership

The Veterinary Leadership Experience is a week-long intensive training program designed to strengthen one’s intrinsic leadership qualities and promote personal transformation through interactive peer collaboration and reflection. In August of 2018, I was published in the TVMA Veterinary Newsletter for my reflections on the VLE.

-Assist veterinarians with 24 hour on-call emergencies-Prepare and execute in house diagnostics to include blood work, x-ray, and ultrasound-Treat and medicate hospitalized patients-Assist veterinarians with small animal surgeries, including operating ventilator and anesthesia machines and administering anesthetic drugs -Supported veterinarians during examination of small animals to determine nature of illness or injury-Experienced with primates, reptiles, and birds in a veterinary setting-Prepare and administer medications, vaccines, serums, and treatments as prescribed by veterinarians-Fill medication prescriptions

-Prepare numerous fecal, blood, and histology sample tests-Correspond with veterinarians and veterinary clinics by phone -Assist with research by extracting and organizing current and past biological samples for lab technicians-Perform miscellaneous office duties, such as cleaning the lab and assisting with billing

-Assisted veterinarians with small and exotic animal surgeries, including operating ventilator and anesthesia machines and administering anesthetic drugs -Supported veterinarians during examination of both small and exotic animals to determine nature of illness or injury-Experienced with primates, reptiles, and birds in a veterinary setting-Prepared and administered medications, vaccines, serums, and treatments as prescribed by veterinarians-Filled medication prescriptions

-Collected laboratory specimens, including blood, urine, and feces-Contributed greatly towards client satisfaction
