In my role as Head of Engineering I support the Development and QA teams as they focus on improving and maintaining our product. We work in agile methodology and we continuously strive make our teams empowered and autonomous. Our two main programming languages are Python and Javascript which we run on GCP. Frontends are built in modern javascript framworks such as Angular2+.* Brite leverages the power of open banking to offer an innovative instant payments solution that allows merchants and customers to make account-to-account (A2A) payments without creating an account, downloading an app, or being redirected to a payments page. Interim Head of Engineering for the Mindville applications within Atlassian. An 18 month mission to transition the Insight product into Jira (previously a marketplace app) and adopt the teams into the Atlassian Engineering organisation. The project was completed successfully after 11 months.The Mindville engineering organisation consisted of 30 Engineers spread over 3 locations (Berlin, Montreal and Stockholm), of which several have since relocated to Sydney, Australia.* The Mindville platform is a collection of apps that empower Jira users to work more efficiently and deliver an outstanding customer experience. I love teaching & learning. I have the highest respect and admiration for Teachers of all kinds and contexts. It was then obvious that I had to say yes when Richard and Marcus approached me about being the Head Instructor at Applied Technology - Salt. I signed up for 2 iterations and it was among the most fun I've ever had. Also incredibly challenging, especially when our on-site learning method clashed with the covid pandemic. * School of Applied Technology's concept is to take the most motivated and talented out of thousands of applicants and over 13 weeks drive and support them to become full-stack JavaScript developers that can jump into any agile team and directly add value.

It was my privilege to manage the international IT Development organization at Daniel Wellington. Covering everything from Influencer Marketing Applications, via the business integration solutions, to the Daniel Wellington e-commerce site.During my time we grew the IT Development organization from 25 people in 2017 to just shy of 100 at the end of 2019.Spread over up to 3 different Development offices we adopted the thinking of cross functional product oriented teams working with agile mindsets, where each team were responsible not only for their delivery, but also their own processes.We early on chose to work with modern tech stacks such as React and Vue.js in the frontend and Serverless AWS infrastructure in the backend.

IT Development on our proprietary e-commerce solution suite.One highlight was spearheading a project to move our e-commerce away from server side rendered .ASP with MSSQL as the data layer, over to a hybrid solution with a client side rendering built in vanilla javascript which used a solr-service as the primary data source for navigation, filtering and search.
