I'm looking forward to explore various avenues where I can apply my skill set as a molecular biologist and Data scientist. I recently completed a certification on Data Analytics from the University of Utah and I'm currently enrolled for a Master's program in Data Analytics from McDaniel's College, MD with classes over the weekend. I have the option of taking classes online and therefore the ability to take full-time data analytics/Molecular-Cell Biology/Bioinformatics positions in any state. I'm at a point in my career, where I can handle research projects independently with minimal or no supervision. I'm a scientist with post doctoral training from the University of Utah. My molecular biology skill set involves handling mice and rats colonies, animal surgeries, designing, executing experiments, data analysis and a plethora of molecular and biochemical techniques involving in-vitro, in-vivo gene delivery, molecular cloning, PCR,RT-PCR, various plate reader, immunofluorescence based assays, ELISAs, gel electrophoresis, western blots, cell culture techniques, with theoretical working knowledge of CRISPR, Next gen sequencing and microarrays. I'm extensively trained in data analytic/data science techniques that involves but not restricted to data wrangling, extract-transform-load(ETL), SQL and no-SQL databases, such as Postgres SQL,mongoDB, sqlite etc, web designing for the purpose of displaying visualization and data tables that could be filtered based on user inputs using JavaScript, Plotly, HTML and CSS. Creating Interactive maps using matchbox, leaflet libraries and geo spatial data such as GeoJson. Web data extraction by using Application Program Interface (APIs) and non-standard extraction using web scrapping tools such as BeautifulSoup. Supervised and Unsupervised Machine learning using Scikit learn, and using algorithms such as linear, multilinear, logistic regression, decision tree and random forest classifiers, dimensionality reduction using Principal Component Analysis, Hierarchical clustering, K-means clustering to segregate data based on similar properties. The use of deep learning and neural networks with tensor flow and keras turner to optimize accuracy scores by modulating activation functions, neurons in dense layer, input and output layers. Big data analytics using pyspark, maintenance and data retrieval from cloud-based data bases, Amazon Web Services (AWS)I'm interested in combining my expertise as a biologist and data science and will be applying for clinical data science, bioinformatics, molecular Biology, positions.
