I am currently a Bridge Engineer with HDR located in their Kansas City, MO office. I specialize in the structural design of transportation facilities, specifically bridges and culverts, although I have experience with hydraulics and hydrology is it relates to transportation projects as well. Over the past 5 years in the transportation industry, I have designed a multitude of bridge types for both new construction, and rehabilitation projects. I have designed facilities utilizing NU girders, spread box beams, steel girders and slab bridges. I have experience designing integral end bents, pile bent piers, drilled shafts and spread footings. I have also performed structural assessments for transportation projects as I have my KDOT basic inspection certification. In my previous roles, I performed structural analysis for large scale industrial facilities, including power plants, LNG terminals, and other miscellaneous plan types. I pride myself on my ability to communicate and collaborate with team members. I tackle the problem, not the people, and focus on finding a solution that benefits all parties involved. My primary career-long goal is to become a successful Structural Engineer and pass along my knowledge and experience to the next generation of engineers, similar to what my mentors, lead engineers, and project managers did for me.
