As part of the central Harris Federation IT team, my role involves ensuring that all hardware, software, and services purchased to meet the specifications laid down by the Federation / Academy and are in accordance with Budget. Work with local Technicians where necessary and provide 2nd line support for more complicated issues as and when required. Liaising with vendors, partners and service providers as appropriate. Imaging, deploying and managing PCs, Laptops, Tablets, IPads and all other endpoint devices such as printers and IWBs. My role also involves, assisting with the installation, configuration, and maintenance of computer peripheral equipment such as scanners, printers, Interactive whiteboards, and projectors. Assisting with installation and testing of new software and software updates/upgrades, ensuring compliance with software licensing regulations at all times. Raising Change Requests (RFC’s) as necessary to implement permanent solutions and prevent future incidents occurring. Supporting Ad-hoc projects, whiles working with the projects and infrastructure team.I have experience in overseeing the setup of IT devices (WAPS, CCTV, servers, PC's, Paxton card readers, AV's, digital signage, etc) in a brand new school, working with the builders and following RDS to deploy the devices. As a member of the central IT team, I also occasionally go to other Harris Academies to and provide 2nd line support to local technicians, thus enabling Harris Federation ICT to maintain the provision of excellent IT Services, in line with ITIL principles.
