As owner of Universal Energy Systems, Inc. which he founded in 1986 as an HVAC and energy services company he decided to pursue new opportunities under his company umbrella. Mr. Arnold holds a State of Connecticut S-1 unlimited heating and cooling license and a State of Connecticut HVAC Boiler Inspectors license. He is knowledgeable in public utility gas operations, policies and procedures as well as federal, state and local regulations. While working within the natural gas industry Mr. Arnold acted as a first responder to emergency gas leaks, fires, explosions and other catastrophic events. He coordinated efforts with local fire and police departments and directed crews to protect life and property by investigating and expediting the location and repair of underground natural gas pipeline leaks, pressure problems, outages and safety system failures. Mr. Arnold also directed operations service personnel in the repair and maintenance of natural gas facilities, infrastructure and customer owned HVAC equipment. He is an active member of the Connecticut Association of Plumbing and Heating Inspectors and has attended numerous American Gas Association (AGA) and New England Gas Association ( NEGA) meetings and seminars. He continues to keep up with changes in the industry by taking Continuing Education Courses as required by the licensing division of the Connecticut Department of Consumer Protection.Mr. Arnold continues to provide forensic investigations of fires and explosions pertaining to the natural gas industry as well as incidents involving HVAC equipment failures.
