I am the Estimator / Project Manager. I work the projects from start to finish finding projects on the different Builders Exchange Websites finding projects that we can execute. I review the drawings and specs to identify different types of construction materials and Instrumentation. I request sub bids for programming and panel fabrication, I perform quote reviews to confirm they meet the specs. I work with the other trades making sure that we are efficient in our tasks when we are on site. I work with the crew leaders making sure to capture scope changes and scheduling issues. I report to the customer the progress and work details that may affect the price and time line of the projects.

I perform drawing reviews, answer code questions and perform field verifications for the Engineering group. My duties in the Construction group include attending job walks, creating estimates, proposals, change orders, red lines and customer support. I review JSA’s and help create job safety plans. I perform field visits to ensure the crews are working safe and that they have all of the necessary tools and support they may need. I provide daily construction progress updates to our project support group.

I am training in the District Manager position. I am responsible for the daily operations of the District 40 business unit. We currently cover West Texas and Eastern New Mexico providing Electrical Distribution, Electrician and Instrumentation Services. I work closely with my supporting staff of project managers who make up our team.

I am the Project Manager for the Western Region of the San Joaquin Valley.I am currently responsible for the new construction in the Lost Hills field. I create job scopes for the client, prepare material take offs, assist engineering with drawing reviews. I manage the budgets for our projects, track progress and expenditures, maintain the quality control and safety for our team. My job is to make sure that we provide the highest quality work, in a timely manner, with the best prices.

I am an Electrical Construction Rep. for the Lost Hills field at Oxy-California Heavy Oil. My tasks include contractor supervision and cost control, quality assurance and quality control, design review, construct-ability review and job planning.I work closely with our procurement team and place material orders and assist with material flow. I oversee multiple contractors and assist with simultaneous operations with other disciplines. As a CTR I am responsible for enforcing code requirements and the safety of the employees. Through good communication and team work I help our teams succeed.

My daily tasks were to track job progress, material flow and man-hours. I supervised electrical construction on multiple simultaneous jobs. My duties included safety and co-ordination among multiple disciplines, mechanical, civil and electrical. I reported job progress to upper management and engineering. I worked with Engineering on design and code requirements along with cost saving ideas for construction.

I designed and built electrical panels for centrifuges, filter presses, wemcos and different types of waste water equipment. I installed panels, conduit and wiring in hazardous locations. I would install and calibrate control valves, pressure, level & temperature transmitters. I would trouble shoot equipment in the field, as well as in the shop. I programmed Eaton VFD’s and programmed Honeywell controllers. I maintained the electrical in the offices, the shop, and the Gymnasium. I inspected equipment and made repairs as needed. Most of the equipment we had was Class1, Div2 or Class1, Div1.

Installed conduit, pulled wire, framed and set power lines, designed field distribution systems, troubleshot many different types of systems from generator powered to low voltage sensors. Framed and set new services for homes and oil field leases. I troubleshot burner controls, instruments and motor control circuits. Installed free water knockouts, tank level controls and re-built and installed petro-therm heaters. I installed conduit, enclosures and raceways in a food processing plant. Brought power into the buildings and distributed the power. Installed stainless steel tubing for instruments, calibrated instrumentation for the process and air system.

I was responsible for the electrical and instrumentation at the 1-C gas plant. I maintained the instrumentation and trouble shot the electrical systems in the plant. I performed preventive maintenance on gas compressors, cogeneration equipment and electrical distribution equipment. I installed tubing and calibrated transmitters. I worked on D.C.S. panels & Micro LoGix PLC’s.

I installed new undergrounds for oil wells. I troubleshot electrical on drilling rigs and portable generator houses. Built and designed new generator houses. I built pump skids, helped design and automate Waste Water Facilities and installed L.A.C.T. units. I troubleshot wells and motor control circuits in all applications. Installed PLC’s and motor control centers. I troubleshot pumps and gear reduction systems. Welded piping and skids for pumps. Installed drain tanks and systems.

Aided in the daily duties of the Electrician and learned the trade hands-on. Pulled wire, dug ditches, learned to run stainless steel tubing, bent and installed conduit and raceways, installed enclosures and terminated wire.
