As a learner and a teacher, I have come to a regretfully conclusion that our current system does not allow us to apply the knowledge we have gained to real-world situations. Being artistic or scientific is that. As a visual learner at Koforidua Sec Tech who offered Science, studying was difficult. The teachers used lecture methods mostly on subjects that touched on mechanics and those that needed visual aids, such as the 4-cylinder engine by educators.As an educator, I began my career at Basic and progressed to Senior High School after attending a conference at Ghana International School, such as the Global Super Teachers Conference. I came to understand that the distinction between government schools and international schools is not intelligence but rather how well the former uses the resources at its disposal while the latter either lacks resources entirely or employs them inefficiently. Due to this experience and my drive to improve, I adopted a more student-centered teaching style by including strategies like focus groups, peer teaching, and open-ended questions in my lessons. When provided with the necessary tools and chances, I don't hesitate to go on field trips.
