Model Court Manager And Release Assurance Manager

London, United Kingdom

The overall purpose of the Model Court Manager is to oversee the management of the Non Live Environment (NLE). The NLE is a scaled down version of the MoJ Dom1 Live environment, and is used as a Pre Prod Test Environment (PPTE) for changes and releases before deployment into the live environment. Liaising with Project Managers and Suppliers on an ongoing basis to review support requirements ensuring best use of the NLE facilities. I manage all conflicts in project dates, ensuring all testing is carried out within the projects timeline. The main duties I perform as Release Assurance manager is to maintain and review Release processes, procedures and other interfaces to Supplier Release teams (ATOS, CGI, Fujitsu, Steria and HP) that allows the management of all Business releases. Within my role as Release Manager I attended the ITIL V3 Foundation Certificate training course. This gave me a comprehensive grounding in the aspects of ITIL Service Management V3. This also highlighted how unaligned we were within the Release space. This has now been addressed as I have worked tirelessly to align the Release function with the change processes currently being used across the main suppliers. I Introduced Release Management rigour and discipline by: - Chairing Monthly Supplier Release Review Boards- Chairing weekly Release Assurance Boards- Performing gap analysis on existing processes;- Building relationships with and gaining buy in from key senior stakeholders;- Defining and writing release strategies and processes for key components including the introduction of a robust pilot testing process.

Itg Business Analyst

London, United Kingdom

This had been a wonderful opportunity for me to learn new skills while facing the huge challenge of taking forward a new product (The ITG Tool). Building up my knowledge base while co-ordinating a team that had more experience of using the ITG tool than me was a difficult task, which I feel I coped with rather well. In my previous roles I did not have many staffing responsibilities. Having to manage this very diverse team, (in terms of Supplier Developers, Contractors, Civil Servants and Liberata support staff) was very challenging and I felt through communicating to them all on an equal keel helped produce the results the team produced.I managed the ITG steady state team and prioritised their work within parameters set by the Business System Owner. Through working with the business areas I specified the business requirement and changes to ITG. I worked with developers to create prototypes of solutions to ensure that the business requirement was fully understood and agreed. I had regular meetings with HP to understand future product development and opportunities.I built up links with colleagues in all areas who use ITG. Ensuring my team was quick to respond to help requests. Introduced in –house helpdesk facility for users of the ITG tool, which made it easier to note the level of support and the timescales it is given in.Successfully put forward a solution for the Freedom of Information team to log all queries using the ITG tool.Due to the constraints of the infrastructure the tool sat on, the ITG tool could not be upgraded to the supported version. I submitted a successful business case for extension of support agreement with the suppliers for the ITG tool.

The provision of service management support to systems post project closure. While working as a project manager in S&SM, I gained accreditation as a PRINCE2 practitioner and hold certifications in, Business Systems Analysis and Structured Systems Analysis. With these new found skill sets I was able to apply these within my work. For example; I designed support and change control arrangements for the WOMBAT (Judicial Pensions Dept) system, and drafted the required documentation. The project board approved this work without amendment. I also project managed the JAMS (Judicial Appointments Magistrates System) replacement system, which saw the development of a new IT system, which I aligned with the current in house Equitas team for support (Formerly Judicial group). This saved the department support costs to an outside agency.

As system manager for the JAGUARS system, I had gained full knowledge of how hierarchal databases where put together. This allowed me to develop the reporting functionality of the tool.
