Pitched, prototyped, and led a successful redesign of the core framework and architecture for US Insurance reporting. This was a multi-year effort. Once past prototyping, the re-architecture proceeded as a series of heavily regression-tested cutovers that achieved parity with the existing system, while addressing a host of other concerns: unit-testability, memory usage, developer onboarding costs, undocumented assumptions, platform flexibility, compatibility and migration paths as regulatory guidance changes...Later worked on enhancing and scaling the US validations engine, identifying and addressing maintenance risks, and standardizing regulatory architecture across products.

Built out a simple machine learning tool for predicting survey performance. Also contributed to the JFE team, which maintained the backend engine for handling millions of surveys in progress.

Worked on a team that built desktop GUIs to interface with our custom hardware. We leaned heavily on static analysis tools, review, and team camaraderie. It was my first taste of software "engineering".

Taught social and ethical implications of engineering, facilitated student involvement in campus events, and worked on a committee to plan the ‘See You at the U’ event, promoting college to local high school students.
