I’m a Computer Science major with a passion for mathematics. My interests include Artificial Intelligence, Autonomous driving, and Security. After I complete my undergraduate education I intend to go to graduate school to earn a Master’s degree in Computer Science with an emphasis in Security. Prior to College I had no background with mathematics except that which was required for graduation in high school, as a result, my first semester at Moorpark College had to begin with Elementary Algebra before ultimately culminating with Linear Algebra, 10 math classes later. I have discovered that I love mathematics and have even considered doubling majoring in it, especially after taking Discrete Math because the course demonstrated the incredible diversity of mathematics. While enrolled in Discrete Math, I found that I particularly love Combinatorics. I believe there is an inherent beauty to order, and I appreciate combinatorics because it reflects that sentiment. My affinity for order and concision has transcended to Computer Science, where I seek to solve problems in the most orderly and precise manner.Aside from math and computers, I am an avid cyclist and an ice hockey enthusiast. Sports have taught me many lessons which include dedication, determination, and desire. I typically approach Computer Science with the same mentality I would sports. Further, I have been able to fluidly transfer these skills between my studies and recreation.To me, each day is an opportunity to learn something new, and become more skilled than yesterday. Between my thirst for knowledge and the skills I already possess, I believe I would be a valuable addition and avid contributor to the success your company.
