Daniel Ayala Work Experience Details
  • Sony Pictures Entertainment
Global Security Operations Center (Gsoc) Operator
Sony Pictures Entertainment Jun 2023 - Present
    Culver City, California, United States
The Global Security Operations Center (GSOC) serves as the nerve center for Sony Pictures Entertainment (SPE) security operations. At SPE, the GSOC team monitors assets across the globe by analyzing data and respond to threats and incidents that could potentially impact operations. This is done by gathering intelligence from security partners providing proximity alert monitoring and by searching open-source databases and government agencies. With the available information, the operator would then generate a security alert for corporate executives, department stake holders, and regional security directors. In some cases the team would continue to provide updates regarding an incident until there is no further impact. The GSOC and its operators also acts a dispatch center for security operations for the Sony Pictures Studios in Culver City. All operators are Commission on Accreditation for Law Enforcement Agencies (CALDEA) certified, trained to communicate with local authorities (LAPD, LAFD, CCPD, & CCFD) when dispatching medical, fire, and security emergencies. Working in this setting, I developed the mentality to assess and delegate our resources for a well-coordinated emergency response.Working the studio's security operations, the GSOC monitors camera surveillance, dispatches security for perimeter alarms, investigations, service requests, and emergency response. Working with the security, we are able to provide a safe environment for SPE employees, productions, and guests.
  • Gsg Protective Services
Security Lead Officer And Acting Sergeant
Gsg Protective Services Mar 2022 - Jun 2023
Sony Pictures Entertainement Studios, Culver City, California, United States
As lead officer and acting Sergeant, I was tasked with training and overseeing the security team and security operations of Sony Pictures Studios in Culver City. The security and safety of production, Sony Pictures Entertainment (SPE) employees, guests and private property is priority. Working side-by-side with the Global Security Operations Center (GSOC), the security team is able to monitor the 45 acres studio providing a safe and secure environment for all guests and employees. Our studio's crisis management program ensured that all Sony departments: Security, Fire Marshals, Medical, Town Patrol, and facilities, are trained to respond to an incident in order to restore normal operations. During my time wit the security, I developed a rapport with the GSOC team until my transition to the GSOC in June 2023.
  • Allied Universal
    Security Sergeant
    Allied Universal Feb 2021 - Nov 2021
Glendale Galleria, Glendale, California, United States
As a Security Operations Sergeant, I was tasked with overseeing security officers at the Glendale Galleria Mall. Security officers were exposed to civil disputes, retail crime, medical emergencies, and security threats furthering the need to develop a level-headed mindset to deescalate incidents and facilitate an emergency response benefitting public safety. I would coordinate with the police and fire department during emergencies delegating our resources for efficient approach and response during an incident. When able, I would communicate with the responding law enforcement, fire, and medical agencies after an incident for a debrief and review of the security team’s response, identify improvements, and refine emergency plans for future incidents. It was imperative security operations-maintained community rapport. My engagement with mall employees and guests strengthened our customer service skills when resolving inquiries, concerns, and service requests, further building a trust with the public. When training my officers on this matter were able to establish effective communication when identifying security liabilities and failures to develop solutions and trainings to promote public cooperation and a safe community. My short time at the Glendale Galleria provided a perspective in security management and supervision benefitting my future positions in security operations.
