I currently oversee a Cross dock operation across 17 bays in a 33,000 sq. Ft cold store warehouse, which has the biggest through put of product within our primary network. I heavily assist the shift manager with the dailyrunning of the warehouse operation allowing for efficient and cost-effective management in the area. I am also experienced in providing cover for the shift manager role in times of absence and holiday. My roles and responsibilities have changed throughout my time at Gist as I moved from a Warehouse Operative to CoOrdinator & now reside on the Warehouse Management team. My day-to-day responsibilities include:• Deploying staff to designated jobs throughout the day allowing for operations to run smoothly & service requirements met• Ensuring all daily processes followed• Implementing HACCP measures to ensure they are followed and controlled • Ensuring we are compliant with H&S policies• Listening to ideas from staff and acting upon this so that efficiency and quality of service improvesWhilst at gist I have also completed 5 managers learning development programs.• Managing & leading a team • Communication & influencing • Managing behavioral change & dealing with difficult conversation • Building strong performing team • Unconscious bias

Whilst working as dispatch administrator, I worked with the section & team leader to ensure that the shift ran as smoothly as possible – providing cover for their respective roles when required. I was responsible for the booking of all vehicles upon arrival and dispatching them with all adequate paperwork. Whilst in this role I built myself into a very well-rounded team member with the ability to work in all aspects of the dispatch area. General responsibilities included:• Use of the WMS that was in place allowing booking in of vehicles, completing stock checks and allocatingpick orders• I also held licenses for Reach & Roep Trucks • Whilst working within the dispatch area, I was the H&S representative. This meant I was the first point of contact should my fellow colleagues had any issues regarding H&S. Should reports be raised to me, I would pursue them through the correct avenues
