The European Network of Cultural Centres (ENCC) promotes dialogue and cooperation between social-oriented cultural centres throughout Europe.It is both a network of direct members and a ‘network of networks'. Today, the ENCC connects over 3000 cultural organisations in 27 countries, with very diverse structures, practices and audiences. It aligns with values of cultural equality, active citizenship, intercultural diversity and sustainability.The ENCC’s main action lines are capacity building, networking and advocacy. The network organises meetings, conferences, training and staff exchanges, participates in research and data-gathering, creates tools and publications, and connects with other actors from the cultural sector.It also supports social and cultural innovation by mentoring international cooperation projects. Empowering cultural centres and their communities is the network's priority.The ENCC is co-funded by the Creative Europe networks strand of the European Union.

With its annual programme VIVA aims to create a dynamic platform for contemporary visual arts in Malta to engage in creative development whilst initiating a process of change in the national cultural scene. With a wide variety of local and international artists presenting recent work or collaborating in joint projects, VIVA is creating new international networks which will last far beyond the festival itself.
