In this position my responsibilities include:• Leading our digital transformation effort by re-designing various tools as native cloud applications and integrating them into our application landscape. This includes a leading role in the full-stack development of these applications and their transformation from various technologies to a unified ASP.NET Core and Blazor experience hosted in Azure• Onboarding as well as mentoring internal and external developers to ensure a uniformly high level of code quality• Moving our microservice-based solution to our parent company owned Kubernetes cluster• Working together with international speaker and expert in the field, Rainer Hahnekamp, to implement an automated E2E testing solution for our applications• Onboarding the cloud-based workflow engine Camunda, including integrating into existing company application landscape and ensuring compliance with company cybersecurity and data protection guidelines

In this position my responsibilities included:• Designing, implementing, and integrating with a microservice-based architecture for multiple cloud applications running on Azure. Solution is based on containerized ASP.NET Core services with a heavy focus on asynchronous, message-based communication• Designing and implementing a multi-tenant identity solution for our applications using company identity management (PingFederate) as an upstream identity provider• Leading the technical design of our Angular based SPAs• Implementing libraries and tooling to aid developer productivity, especially concerning resilient messaging• Leading our Code Review Process• Technical evaluation and coordination of external developer resources• Implementation of automated pipelines using Azure DevOps for both code (CI/CD) as well as cloud infrastructure (ARM templates)• Integration with various services on premise, cloud and external both as a data consumer as well as a provider. Services include SAP, Reporting/PowerBI as well as numerous custom HTTP services

Working in tandem across departments to help customers with the implementation of our webservice offerings• Implementing an OAuth 2.0 access control solution powered by IdentityServer to secure our webservices• Leading our internal modernization efforts, redesigning multiple individual desktop application as modern web apps using ASP.NET Core and Angular running on Azure• Introducing the development team to a DevOps mentality. Increasing code coverage as well as implementing automated builds and testing, consequently increasing efficiency by reducing errors in production• Leading integration of Azure DevOps into our development pipeline
