Profile bio

About Daniel B.

Computational simulation is advantageous in situations where the cost of testing a product is too high or the physical environment prevents accurate measurement of a process. My interests lie in utilizing state-of-the-art computational resources to explore both cases for materials physics, quantum chemistry, and machine learning applications. Previous research projects have given me experience in density functional theory, computational materials science, and electron transport theory. During these projects I developed skills in numerical methods, working with parallel software on supercomputers, as well as numerous programming languages. My goal is to develop software to utilize the forefront of computational resources to tackle the complex problems that occur in materials science, engineering, and statistics.
