Professional engineer and geologist with over 30 years of experience. Specializing in groundwater/remedial engineering I bring professional experience in a diversity of engineering/scientific disciplines. He has served on projects at over fifteen State or federal lead superfund sites, dozens of RCRA sites, and sites located in over sixteen states, Puerto Rico and several foreign countries. These projects have involved halogenated and non-halogenated solvents, a variety of petroleum products, metals, pesticides, PCBs, semi-volatile organics, and residues of chemical warfare agents. Dan has led or served as a technical consultant on several of the largest vapor intrusion projects and led one of the first investigation and remediation projects applying the Discrete Fracture Network (DFN) approach by a U.S. consulting firm. From 2009 to 2013 I led Sanborn Head’s Industrial Service Area. I initiated Sanborn Head's technology initiative program focused on identifying and applying advanced technologies to better serve client needs and improve remedy outcomes in a cost-effective manner and led collaboration as an Industrial Partner to the University Consortium for Field Focused Groundwater Contamination Research and USEPA Vapor Intrusion Science Team. I transitioned to an emeritus status in late 2014 and continued to consult on an on-call, as needed basis until July 2017.I continue serving as a principal investigator on the ESTCP SERDP demonstration project for VOC Mass Flux Characterization for Vapor Intrusion Assessment (ER-201503) as an independent consultant working with Geosyntec in service to the Department of DefenseSpecialties: Vapor Intrusion Investigations and Remediation  Fractured Rock Characterization and Remediation Engineering High Resolution Site Characterization Remediation Design and Implementation Geochemistry, Environmental Chemistry.
