Lovely artisan brewpub serving up organic grub on house-baked scratch rolls. I miss it dearly, but had to move away for Uni. I heard Chef Frank moved on and they lost their baker and just do beer now... pour one out, but do try their beer, it's a great brewery still

Upscale pub fare. In its heyday, featured on Guy Fieri's DD&D, but a series of sales to worse and worse owners have left nothing but vacant retail space and a warehouse-for-lease where once stood a beloved local brewery. I wonder what happened to their historic steam whistle they'd blow at 5 each evening...

High End Surf & Turf. Sadly defunct, but would love to see an aspiring chef take advantage of its stunning location. Cut my fine dining teeth doing prep, graduated to pantry and was covering broiler shifts by the time I took my leave with my mentor, Chef Frank Magaña. He read the restaurant's demise in the tea leaves and poached a number of his crew off to Three Magnets BrewPub across town where the food was better, AND cheaper.

A humble start in upmarket fast food. The first fast food chain in the nation to have a union workforce, although I had since moved on to finer dining by the time this milestone took place.
